This past week many of our team members served in Vacation Bible School at our church. They played games, made crafts, and learned about Jesus along with many of the children of Frisco Bible Church. In VBS, there is also a fundraiser portion for a mission of choice. This past week, the kids brought money they earned from doing chores and helping around the house to support our Costa Rica team! There was a competition between boys and girls to see who could bring the most money. Each team had a representative, Nate Gosvenor and Luke Byrd for the boys, plus Erin Chappelle and Rylie Huckelberry for the girls. At the end of the week, the team with the most money got to dump “gorilla snot” (applesauce, oatmeal, and chocolate pudding) on the losing teams representatives. Throughout the week, we had groups of 2 or 3 people from our team go onto the stage in front of all the kids and talk about what we will be doing there, and what we’re excited about.
